A short and disturbing look at a long dream.

I rode into the village with a friend, both of us riding horses, swords and other weapons strapped to ourselves (I have never ridden a horse in my life.) It was a dusty, dry, and dirty land. We were searching for someone, but at the time we rode into the village I still had no clue what we were looking for.

It was a ghost-town. There was no one in the village or around. The largest structure was a circular pavillion made of wood that was in the center of the village. We went inside…

It was a dirt floor, no walls just a thatched roof. Children were there. They were all dead. Each child was tied between two wooden poles. There was probably about 50 of them. It was EXTREMELY sad. They were all pasty white, and I realized that all the blood had been drained out of them.

Then I knew what we were looking for, more accurately what we were hunting for… Vampires. They had no need for the children, so this is what the vampires had done to them. The adults they had all bitten and turned into the undead.
